Directions for use
- It is important with breeding animals to feed according to condition.
- Replacement sows (gilts) should be fed 3.0kg / day of a grower type diet until they reach mating weight (approximately 120-150kg, over 30 weeks of age). After mating, for the first 30 – 40 days of pregnancy, the feeding rate should be dropped to a maximum of 2.5kg / day, as more than this may reduce litter size by killing embryos.
- Gilts should gain 30kg of live weight in the first pregnancy to be approximately 150kg liveweight at farrowing.
- It is important to replace the feed regularly so it remains fresh and palatable.
- Pigs need clean, cool, fresh water available at all times.
